Hera and Her Son Hephaestus

After the birth of Athena, from Zeus's head, Hera was very furious and gave birth without Zeus, to the fatherless Hephaestus. Since Hera was very angry, and quarrelled with her mate. Because of the strife, Hera bared without union of Zeus, who hold the agais a glorious son. Without benefit of sexual intercorse, although Homer says the Zeus was Hephaestus father. For helping Hera when she was in chains, Zeus threw him in the air. Hera was hung from Olympos as punishment for setting a storm. Herakles was the one she set the storm on, as he was sailing back from his conquest from Troy.
