Hera and Her Son Hephaestus

After the birth of Athena, from Zeus's head, Hera was very furious and gave birth without Zeus, to the fatherless Hephaestus. Since Hera was very angry, and quarrelled with her mate. Because of the strife, Hera bared without union of Zeus, who hold the agais a glorious son. Without benefit of sexual intercorse, although Homer says the Zeus was Hephaestus father. For helping Hera when she was in chains, Zeus threw him in the air. Hera was hung from Olympos as punishment for setting a storm. Herakles was the one she set the storm on, as he was sailing back from his conquest from Troy.

The Goddess of Love and Marriage

Hera, the Greek goddess, called the Queen of Heaven, was a powerful queen in her own right. She ruled over the heavens and earth, responsible of every existence, including the seasons and weather. Honoring her great capacity to nurture the world, her very name translates, to the "Great Lady". Hera was also worshipped as a Roman goddess too, her Roman name was Juno. In the ancient times Hera was revered as being the only goddess, who accompanied women every step of the way. The goddess blessed womans marriage, and along protecting children and helping find her financial security.  

Heras Jealousy

Among the most famous, Hera's jealousy is Hercules; whos name mean the glory of Hera. Hera persecuted the famous hero from the time before he could walk for the simple reason, he was Zeus's father. But another woman, and Almene was his mother. The fact that Hera was not Hercules mother, and despite her actions. Such as sending snakes to kill him when he was an infant; she served as his nurse when he was an infant. With all the women Zeus seduced, Hera found one way or another to persecute them.

Hera: The First Greek Goddess

Hera is the title given to her by the first greeks, meaning "Lady". According to the summarians she was born, on the isle of Samos the banks of the river. Hera is the wife and sister of Zeus. She was raised by the Titans, Ocean and Tethys, she is one of the supreme goddesses, and the goddesses of marriage and childbirth. Her marriage with Zeus was found in strife, and continued in stife. Zeus then turned in to trickery and cockoo. And so, Hera married him to cover her shame. When Zeus was overbearing the other gods, Hera convinced them to join in revolt, and her art was to drug Zeus. Then the gods bound the sleeping Zeus taking him to a couch to care. Zeus sprang from the couch and grabbed his thunderbolt. The gods had got down on there knees and begged for mercy.
